On September 11th, 2011 Immanual
sekaran's Memorial Day at Paramakudi which is observed by Dalit people, police
open fired without any warning and killed seven Dalit peoples and injured more
than 30 Dalit peoples.
Dalit rights activists are
accusing the Tamil Nadu Government and police force for the killing of innocent
Dalit people. The reason given by them is that this shooting is completely
engineered by police and political leaders of Caste Hindu community.
Justice Sampath committee gave a
clean chit to police and have accepted that the police firing was absolutely warranted to maintain peace and restore normalcy.
Let’s analyze
the reality behind this issue carefully with the help of materialistic evidence
instead of wrong accusations and false theories.
Limitation of this
article - Incidents prior to firing and after the riots are
not analyzed deeply in this post since many other blogs, posts and websites
have done that already. Only the Police firing incident is analyzed in depth
based on materialistic evidence.
Many people
have died in the clashes between Dalit and Rival community in the past.
Dalits also have killed innocent people from the rival community. Both
communities have to be blamed here.
Let’s
unveil the incidents happened before the Police shooting -
- Palani Kumar a Dalit youth
and his friends have written offensive remarks against rival community leader on a wall in Pacheri village
which provoked the rival groups to attack this youth. He died
on the way to hospital. This incident happened just two days before Immanual
sekaran's Memorial Day.
- The second incident is the
controversial banners erected by the Dalits. The rival group reported
this and asked for the removal of such controversial banners.
- The third was TMMK leader John Pandian's arrest - The police have given a reason for this arrest stating that John Pandian's presence at the event could cause a law and order situation. He had plans of visiting Pacheri village where Palani Kumar was killed. Police wanted to play safe and have arrested him.
Above incidents clearly states
the mistakes are done by both Dalits and rival community.
- Both issues 1 & 2 have been started by the
Dalits only.
- Rival community took it too far by killing the
Dalit youth. These criminals should be punished by the law.
It is clearly
visible from the above facts that Police tried to avoid any violence or clash
which could be sparked by this TMMK Dalit party Leader John Pandian who has
plans to visit the Pacheri village.
Let’s
go to the Police Firing Incident:
On hearing the
arrest of John Pandian his supporters staged a “road-roko” in the five junction
road in the town preventing followers of Puthiya Tamizhagam(another Dalit
Political party) leader K. Krishnasamy from proceeding to Sekaran’s memorial.
Police were negotiating with the TMMK agitators asking them to give up the road
roko protest. while the negotiation was going on the rogue TMMK dalits started
throwing stones and footwears at the police. The Negotiations failed leading to
lathi charge by police to disperse the rogue mob.
After Lathi
charge TMMK Dalit Rowdies didn't disperse and attacked the Police violently
again by throwing stones and torched wood. The media and Dalit political
parties have hided this part. Even if you see the videos posted in YouTube, all
are edited. Exactly before and after the lathi charge the video frame will not
be continuous, it is edited by removing the part where Dalit rowdies attack
police.
The Dalit
political parties place a serious accusation that Police massacred the so
called innocent Dalit's by open firing without any warning. Truth is police has
first tried to negotiate, after negotiation fails they lathi charged, but again
the TMMK Dalit rowdies attack the police. To control the
situation Police uses Tear Gas shells to Disperse the TMMK Dalit
rowdies.
After all this atrocities by TMMK Dalit rowdies, for their self-defense the police had to fire on the Rowdies to bring the situation under control. I have been searching for videos to know what truly happened in the Paramakudi Police firing. But sadly all the videos in YouTube are edited clearly hiding the TMMK Rowdies atrocities on Police.

Mistake
on Police -
The only mistake
done by Police here which is also even mentioned in Justice Sampath report is
the Handling of the situation by Police after the riots. Police have gone to victim
village and have forced to perform the last rituals of the dead carried out
immediately and have left the village only after the Last rituals are finished
and the body is cremated/buried. The reason given by officials is that some
Dalit political parties might use this opportunity of Last rituals to again
create violence or clash.
The Conclusion -
Clearly the TMMK
Dalit Rowdies have sparked the other poor Dalit people who simply came to
Pay homage to their leader and made them to indulge in violence. After
doing all these atrocities these Dalit Rowdies simply use the coat of
"Dalits Suppression" to hide their ugly self, these people are an
insult to Dalit community and to the true Dalit activists who are fighting for
their people.
Like
A Coin has two sides, the reality behind this incident claimed as "Dalit
Massacre of Paramakudi" by Dalit Activists turns out to be "TMMK
Dalit Rowdies atrocities" which ultimately ended in the Death of their own
people - Seven Human life. The poor Dalit people are being brainwashed by these
Rowdy Dalit parties which are encouraging them to indulge in such violence. Who
is to be blamed? the injured Police who fired for self-defense and to bring the
situation under control? or the Dalit political Parties goons who attacked the
Police and responsible for the riot? I leave the answer to your fair
judgement.
